Physiotherapy
About physiotherapy
Physiotherapists are registered health care professionals, with university qualifications. We assess, diagnose and treat people with movement problems. Physiotherapists also help people avoid injuries and maintain a fit and healthy body. Physiotherapy includes a wide range of specialties that meet the health needs of different people such as babies and children, sports people, pregnant women, the injured and senior citizens.

Physiotherapy programs are based on practical goals agreed between the physiotherapist and the client. When necessary physiotherapists will consult with a patient's other healthcare practitioners to ensure the best treatment outcomes. For more information you might like to visit the Australian Physiotherapy Association site.

How does physiotherapy work?
I can work with you to help achieve better, more cost effective results. Some of the areas Physiotherapy can help are:
After injury or surgery: Physiotherapy helps patients regain their mobility and independence quickly and safely.
For the relief of acute and chronic pain: Physiotherapy helps maintain, treat and reduce discomfort.
Lifestyle education: injury prevention, stress management and exercise programs for people of all ages.
Rehabilitation: Physiotherapy can aid and speed up recovery so the patient can regain independence and return to work/normal activity faster.
